Kevin Cheng Ka Wing is a popular actor after a long work hard career journey. Kevin Cheng Ka Wing is a singer and television actor born on August 15th, 1969 in San Francisco, United States. He moved to Hong Kong when he was young, and studied at the Alhambra High School and Hong Kong International School. He moved to Canada to complete his high school years, and went to the U.S. to pursue a college degree. However, when his father passed away, he went back to Hong Kong without finishing his degree, to be with his mother and start his singing career.

Kevin Cheng Ka Wing signed a contract with record label PolyGram in 1993, and released his first album the same year. He won a number of Best New Artist awards in 1994, but was then rumored to be dating his label-mate Linda Wong Hing Ping, which caused conflicts between him and his manager. After his success on TV started to pick up in 2006, his singing career was revived somewhat as well. He has released a total of 7 albums between 1993 and 2006. Kevin Cheng Ka Wing was discovered by TVB after his acting role on the popular drama "The Legendary Twins," in which he portrayed the villain. His popularity as an actor increased even more after his appearance in the 2006 romance drama "Under the Canopy of Love." He has appeared in more than 20 TV shows over his career, along with a few movies as well.

It might be hard to believe, but Hong Kong TVB heartthrob Kevin Cheng says he is not dating anyone at the moment.

“(Do you know) anyone good? Can you recommend?” he joked, adding that he does not really need his girlfriend to meet specific requirements.

Kevin Cheng is not with anyone at the moment.

“It just happens sometimes. (As artistes) our working hours are so long and we have a really small circle.

"So I don’t meet people from outside that much. That’s the problem." he told The Daily Chilli in English, when he was in town for a meet-and-greet session with fans at the ntv7 Yuan Community carnival recently.

Does his mum try to match-make him?

“I think she has given up,” he said with a laugh.

The hunky star is eager to settle down and have a family of his own.

“Of course (I want to start my own family). But don’t ask me when I can do that. I have no idea."

"When I meet the right person, I will have a family and my own children,” said the 41-year-old, before adding in Cantonese: “You think I’m not anxious?”

His answers were a far cry from the Kevin Cheng painted by paparazzi in tabloids and gossip rags.

The star was portrayed as a playboy and was romantically linked to a string of beauties including singer-actress Linda Wong, his Under the Canopy of Love co-star Niki Chow and TVB queen Charmaine Sheh.
